Geoffrey G. Giorgi

Geoffrey G. Giorgi is an experienced trial attorney who has practiced law in Northwest Indiana for over twenty-five years. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Miami University and his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law with Order of Barrister Distinction. The focus of his practice is in a variety of civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts, including injury litigation, contractual disputes, and business claims and defenses. Mr. Giorgi represents and has represented a number of local businesses, municipal clients, and healthcare providers as well as individuals injured in collisions and premises liability cases. For 25 years he served in a part time capacity as the Chief Public Defender in the Lake Juvenile Court and developed a wide ranging juvenile and family law practice.

 

Mr. Giorgi lives in Valparaiso, Indiana with his wife and three children. He has served as adjunct faculty at Valparaiso University, where he taught Intellectual Property Law and a survey course presenting a varied curriculum in the Communication Law Department. He has been a repeat lecturer for the National Business Institute on topics relating to civil and personal injury litigation.

 

He is an active member of the Indiana Board of Law Examiners, a Certified Educator for the Juvenile Training Immersion Program, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers’ Association, the Lake County Bar Association, and is a founding member of the Calumet Inns of Court. He is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Indiana and the United District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
